Sorry to say but don't let youself be too much charmed by the number of alleged visitors.
You should divide this number at least 5 as it's not that one person drops in at a time and never returns aftewards.
The same people might click on your thread's link looking for news or the regular member's posts. So real statistics as to the visitors perhaps is as less as we could judge by the quantity of clicks.

Since it comes to counting look at an interesting observation. We often complain about low writing activity. But in fact it's not low so much. The write to read rate here is about 4,1%. For comparison the popular thread "Idiots in aviation" has only about 1%, another example: "To learn English, how to start?" has 2,8%.

Mila, I'm not actually as keen on maths&statistics as you might think. So I'm afraid I couldn't offer a sophisticated research at this field. But what kind of observation do you mean? I thought I've told about counting everything I have.

I've been reading an adversing of English Life Club, that is provided by one of English courses network. And an idea has come into my mind. We've got here right a similar Life Club. But there is a significant drawback: we miss a spoken language. But modern internet technologies allow to communicate in real time using not only text (ICQ) but also audio and even video (optional) channel. I mean Skype and things like that. And I thought: why don't us try to put them at the service of our English club? It's just raw idea, that just came to me. And I'm not sure is it viable. But I'd like to offer you to think of it and discuss. Maybe it worth a try.
